What is this blog about? 

First and foremost this is my writing blog. It's all well and good knowing which road to take, but you're never going to get anywhere if you do not take the first steps on it. Thankfully this is the one thing in life I want the least. Staying stuck. Stagnant. Stationary. Words are just the loveliest things and I want to use them to express myself and make sense of my world.

In order to make sure I keep moving forward, I have made a promise to myself to write. Every single week of the year. Anything and everything I feel I want to write about. Just as long as I'm writing. It's where I need to be. So I'm giving myself this space to fulfill that promise.

I will be writing under the pen name Red Writing Hood. First of all, because I love paronomasia and homophones. Secondly, because fairy tales were my first love and lastly, because I value my online anonymity.

I would also like to read more. Usually after I read a book I have so many thoughts and feelings about it and I figured it would be nice if I could write those down somewhere. That somewhere being here on this blog. Every last day of the month I'll post a review of one of the books I've read in that month.

That is where I'll start and we'll see where this will take me.
